About The Square
The Roots of Downtown Corvallis
Before Madison Square was built in 1913, on the site of 3rd and Madison stood the City Livery. This was the first stopping place for visitors to house their horses in Corvallis. Honoring the Past
Built by the Hout family, and originally called the Hout building, in the roaring 20's this is where you came to find furniture and hardware - basic life necessities. Over the years, this fantastic building has proven to be resilient through good times and bad.
